Personal History
I grew up in Yankin township, Yangon region since I was born on 2nd October 1969. I attended the primary and middle school classes in No (1) State Middle School and I graduated High School in 1986 with flying colours in all subjects from the State High School No. (2), Bahan Township. I then attended the Institute of Medicine 2 Yangon in November 1986. I was a student activist during the days of 8888 uprising in Myanmar. I was arrested by the military intelligence in June 1989 and I was jailed for four years in Insein prison. In 1992, I was pardoned by the partial amnesty order and I was permitted to continue my classes at the Institute of Medicine (2), Yangon. I graduated in December 1999 with a bachelor Degree in Medicine and Surgery (M.B,B.S). After completion of my internship in the North Okkalapa General Hospital in Yangon, I set up a private advertising and marketing business with some of my colleagues. In 2000, I married my wife, Ms. Shin Min. My two daughters were born in 2001 and 2003 respectively. At that time, my private business was focused on the innovation of tools that would facilitate the marketing of the medical products and services in Yangon. Some of the tools that I imagined were the publication of the directory of private clinics and healthcare services in Yangon and the compilation of the list of the specialist doctors in Yangon and the list of General Practitioner clinics in Yangon. I attended the Institute of Economics Yangon in 2001 and I graduated with a Diploma in Management and Administration (DMA). In 2003 when the private banks’ financial crisis was surfaced in Myanmar, my private business was also affected and I decided to reduce the scope of my business and I started my business as a professional translator and writer. I translated and compiled three books on Blood Types and Diet, the United Nations and its Organizations and the World Facts Book. In 2006,  I am also a freelance political commentator and political analyst, regularly contributing the commentaries and analysis reflecting current domestic political issues and challenges in local newspapers and news journals. I have been contributing my comments and analysis in local and foreign media including VOA, BBC, RFA, NHK, DVB and Irrawaddy. My fields of interest are the managing peoples, research, knowledge- sharing, chess game, internet surfing and English language study. My subjects of interest cover administration, management, social science, political science, economy, development and the post- independence history of Myanmar.
